Canada Day 2024: Digi-Sports Canada at the Old Port of Montreal

12 Jul 2024

fête du Canada

On July 1, 2024, Canada Day was celebrated in Montreal’s Old Port. Montreal families gathered to enjoy a day full of fun and festive activities. Our Digi-Sports Wall was one of the event’s most popular features, capturing attention and energizing the day.

A festive and friendly atmosphere

Indeed, the Quai de l’Horloge was transformed into a veritable neighborhood party, hosting various fun workshops, games, face painting, street entertainers, inflatable games, and of course, our interactive Digi-Sports Wall. Participants of all ages enjoyed themselves in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Throughout the day, participants were able to challenge the Digi-Sports Wall to a battle of reflexes. The best score would be rewarded with attractive prizes donated by Parks Canada, encouraging everyone to try their luck and outdo themselves. This competitive aspect added an exciting dimension to the party, encouraging participants to return time and again to improve their performance.

A liaison and entertainment tool

The Digi-Sports Wall has played a crucial role in strengthening ties between Montrealers. By offering an interactive and engaging activity, it allowed families, friends and even strangers to share moments of fun and friendly competition.
Also, in addition to the challenges offered by our Digi-Sports Wall, Canada Day festivities included several traditional events. The swearing-in ceremony for new Canadians, the ceremonial salute by the Canadian Armed Forces, and the presence of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police added a solemn touch to this memorable day. The participants also enjoyed the sharing of cupcakes, a tradition that is always eagerly awaited.

A little history

Canada Day, celebrated on July 1, is a day of national pride when Canadians celebrate their history, culture and achievements. Since 1868, festivities have been held from coast to coast, bringing communities together to celebrate this important day.

In conclusion, our participation in Canada Day at the Old Port of Montreal was a resounding success. The Digi-Sports Wall not only entertained participants, but also helped strengthen ties between Montrealers in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
